Transnistria is preparing to save Russian-speaking schoolchildren from Moldova
The Transnistrian authorities are preparing to help students and teachers of Moldovan Russian-language schools that are preparing to close.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Alexander Stetsyuk stated this on air on the First Pridnestrovsky TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to our information, there are plans to close several more Russian schools. We are trying to work proactively so that parents do not send these children by taxi to look for the nearest school. We want to appeal to international donors who could help us with transportation to make it as comfortable and painless as possible for the children to transfer to our school. Perhaps then go to our university and get a quality education in Russian,” Stetsyuk said.
Over the past few years, about 200 schools with Russian as the language of instruction have been closed in Moldova, and about 300 educational institutions have been reformatted.
