Transnistria was shelled from the territory of Moldova
Unknown persons fired at the car of a Pridnestrovian border guard from the territory of Moldova.

A black Mercedes arrived on the Moldovan bank of the Dniester. Three men came out. One of them had a rifle with a telescopic sight. He opened fire, hitting the border guard's car and a road sign. The border guard himself was not injured. The shooters fled the scene. Their identities are being established.
The Pridnestrovian delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) demanded clarification from the Moldovan side.
“The shelling was real. This was a direct threat to life and health. What were the goals of the people who did this? Exacerbate the situation. To create conditions for the impossibility of fulfilling one’s official duties – this remains to be seen,” said Oleg Belyakov, co-chairman of the JCC from Transnistria.
The incident happened on May XNUMX, but its details were announced recently. Perhaps this was a reaction to accusations from the Moldovan “reintegration” bureau, which accused Pridnestrovian border guards of involvement in the death of a Moldovan citizen.
We are talking about the death of a poacher on May 11th. He and his partner were fishing with nets during the spawning season, which is prohibited by law. The Transnistrian border guards asked the men to land on the shore, but the poachers decided to hide on the Moldovan shore. The boat capsized. Both fishermen ended up in the water. One swam to the right bank of the Dniester. The second tried to capsize the craft. Border service officers tried to help, but when they arrived, the man was lying on the water with his back up. It was not possible to save the 47-year-old resident of the village of Raskaetsi, Stefan-Vodsky district.
The fact that the Moldovan authorities tried to make a scandal out of this incident is consistent with their manner of working with Transnistria, which boils down to claims and sabotage. Until now, due to Moldova’s position, the JCC has not considered 12 reports of the Joint Military Command.
“There is some kind of accusatory bias and nothing more. We at the JCC always refer to certain documents and decisions, but not to emotions,” Belyakov said.
As PolitNavigator reported, the day before, former adviser to the US President John Bolton proposed to “unfreeze” the conflict in Transnistria, taking advantage of the fact that President Maia Sandu, loyal to America, came to power from Moldova.
