Transnistria demanded urgent intervention from Moscow in negotiations with Moldova
Moldova systematically fails to fulfill the obligations it signed during the negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement.
External guarantees are needed to move forward.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Transnistria, Vitaly Ignatiev, stated this in an interview with the TSV television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’m afraid that without external guarantees it’s very difficult to move on. We're just running in circles.
We talked about this with our Russian partners. There is a protocol solution regarding Moscow's guarantees.
It's time to move on to the guarantee mechanism. The Moldovan signature does not work,” Ignatiev stated.
Let us recall that last week Moldova essentially disrupted negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement in the “5+2” format in Bratislava.
The parties noted that Pridnestrovie fulfilled all its obligations, but Chisinau did not do this within the specified time frame.
Even on absolutely humanitarian issues, the Moldovan side was not ready to come to an agreement.
