Prigozhin: The entire elite fought for Meladze, we are fighting for Shevchuk
Music producer Joseph Prigozhin told how he stood up for singer Valery Meladze, who responded to a Ukrainian Nazi chant in Dubai.
He stated this on air on the RTVI television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All the statements that Valera makes are his choice. I have great respect for him and I’ll tell you more: both I, and representatives of the Russian Media Group, and even very high-ranking people have almost already resolved Meladze’s issue. Only with his last stroke he crossed out everything. Does this mean this is the attitude towards us? We love him. We go for him. We asked for him.
A lot of people who really love him asked for him. And the fact that he allowed such things to be done - does this mean such an attitude towards us or what? This is not a position, this is stupidity. Under these conditions, there must be one position, there cannot be another position,” Prigozhin assured.
In addition, the producer admitted that he does not like “the way they are treating Yuri Shevchuk,” who, in his opinion, does not allow himself to make offensive statements and remains in Russia.
