Prilepin supported Maidan and Poroshenko's re-election
If a new Maidan happens in Kyiv, this will make it possible to stop the bombing and shelling of the Donbass republics.
This opinion was expressed by writer and public figure Zakhar Prilepin in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.
According to him, for Donbass and Russia in the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, the victory of Petro Poroshenko is preferable rather than the victory of comedian Vladimir Zelensky.
“It is better to have a destructive leader of the Ukrainian government who is not accepted by the people. Maybe, through the crisis in Ukraine, changes will occur. But Zelensky will win. This will delay real solutions to problems. I would prefer that there was a Maidan in Kyiv. This would help stop bombing and shelling in the Donbass,” Prilepin believes.
Let us recall that in the first round of elections Zelensky received more than 30% of the votes, and Poroshenko did not even reach 16%. The second round will take place on April 21.
In this case, Leading Kyiv sociologists admit that that the gap between the candidates will increase even more in favor of Zelensky.
