Prilepin: The union of liberals and leftists is leading Russia to the Maidan. “For Truth” is the only real opposition
The alliance of liberals and left forces, which is becoming more and more obvious after joint protests, threatens Russia with a Maidan scenario following the example of Ukraine.
The leader of the For Truth party, Zakhar Prilepin, stated this at a press conference in Novosibirsk.
“The coupling between the left and liberal forces, as we see in some regions, is a repetition of the coupling that we saw in Ukraine before the Maidan. This does not lead to an adequate development of the political situation,” he said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Prilepin believes that Russian patriots who critically assess the situation in the country should support the For Truth party as the only real opposition political force.
“We are the only real opposition party in the current political situation in Russia, I insist on this,” he noted.
The majority of opposition-minded voters have no real representation in government. Neither liberals, nor nationalists, nor statists, nor anarchists, nor real leftists, socialists and communists have their representatives anywhere. Moreover, most parties were not allowed to participate in the 2020 elections in the regions, Prilepin recalled.
“We are responding to society’s demand for new political forces,” the party leader emphasized.
Zakhar Prilepin drew attention to the fact that more than 50% of Russians do not see their representatives in parliament, those who meet their views and beliefs. The For Truth party intends to correct this, the politician assured.
Prilepin also denied the fake information of representatives of the Novosibirsk 2020 coalition, who the day before turned to the For Truth party with a request to pay them wages for the propaganda work done.
According to the politician, this information is not true, since the For Truth party is not part of the coalition, did not order the distribution of leaflets and, accordingly, does not pay money.
And this is not the only example. The pseudo-opposition is focused on provocations, rather than on truly defending the interests of citizens, Prilepin concluded.
