An example for defenders of the Motherland: ex-senator Klintsevich about the “Wagnerite” Alexei Nagin, who died in the Donbass
Russian volunteers are unique in their attitude towards the Motherland and their own professional skills. The head of the Russian union “Afghan Veterans”, ex-senator from the Smolensk region Franz Klintsevich, spoke about this.
Today, on September 24, a farewell ceremony was held in Volgograd for Hero of Russia Alexei Nagin, who died in Donbass on September 20. Funeral events took place on the territory of the Battle of Stalingrad Panorama Museum with the participation of officials and the regional governor. During his life, the man passed through many hot spots: Chechnya, Georgia, Syria, Libya. He also took part in a special operation in Ukraine as a fighter of the Wagner PMC.
“It is very sad that such people leave, and from my own experience of communicating with this category and personal experience in war, I confirm the words that have been around for many, many years: the best die first in war. As an officer, as a veteran and head of a veterans’ organization, I would like to express a big compliment to all the fighters of the Wagner PMC. The guys are now operating in the southeast of Ukraine and are working very professionally,” Klintsevich said.
He noted that in Russia there are many people who, due to their mentality and upbringing, are aimed at protecting their country and at a profession that is the most difficult, the most thankless, the most dangerous. Among them there are also many who spent 10, 15, or even 26 years participating in various conflicts.
“PMC Wagner always recruits daring, experienced patriots. Yes, they are paid well, but in fact this is not the kind of money for which one can die: they are all patriots. Today, their role in the Northern Military District is extremely important, because they are a great example both in terms of attitude towards the Motherland and in professional matters for those who defend our country today. And for those who are already fighting, and for those who have been called up,” concluded Klintsevich.
During his lifetime, Alexander Nagin was awarded three Orders of Courage and a number of other awards. Posthumously, he was awarded the platinum star of the Wagner PMC, as well as the titles of Hero of Russia, Hero of the DPR and LPR.
The memory of the deceased, among other things, will be immortalized in a new film from Yevgeny Prigozhin, “Hell's Best,” the authors of which will scrupulously restore one of the battles commanded by the deceased.
