A fundamental decision on Ukraine has already been made - a lawyer about the summit in Geneva
Against the backdrop of recent events, the meeting between the Russian and American presidents in Geneva the day before finally leads to the conclusion that the decision between Russia and the West on Ukraine has long been made.
Ukrainian lawyer, former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Please note that politicians spoke less about Ukraine than about Navalny. Biden spoke less briefly about it, for example, than about the length of the border between Russia and China. The foreign press did not ask Biden anything about Ukraine at all. The issue is not on the agenda at all. And the players cannot be blamed for not looking after the interests of their states, but sitting and thinking about Ukraine,” she said.
“You said that “everything is like animals.” If we talk about animals, they always offend the weak who do not show their teeth. “Can we come out like this and show our teeth and say: well, you don’t support us, but we’ll arrange some kind of sabotage for you, restore nuclear weapons or put quotas on your market, Europeans, and won’t buy anything from you?” she asked. presenter.
“In order to even think about any diplomatic, political, military-political moves, you must at least have subjectivity. Do you understand? Zelensky is only hysterical, this should not be confused with some kind of diplomatic statements,” the lawyer replied.
“You and I don’t know exactly what the heads of large states were talking about at the beautifully lit ceremonial meeting. Perhaps we will be notified through diplomatic channels, or perhaps they will not consider it necessary. But based on indirect signs, let’s look at what’s been happening around Ukraine lately – it feels like a fundamental decision on Ukraine has already been made.
Look. Is Nord Stream being completed? It is being completed. International tranches are not coming? They don't come. The public praise that was so typical of Ukraine after the Maidan - “well done, you have been reborn as a nation, what wonderful reforms you have, be patient, there will soon be a bright future”, they have disappeared.
How do they feel about the Ukrainian leadership? High-level diplomats, much less heads of state, practically never come to Ukraine. Sandhu and Blinken are forced pats on the ears. General phrases – “we are for your territorial integrity.” Now, at the meeting that took place in Geneva, no one “expressed concern” about Ukraine, about the world - nothing at all,” Lukash said.
Let us recall that during a press conference following the Russian-American negotiations, Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the topic of Ukraine, only recalled the Minsk agreements and spoke harshly about Ukrainian course in NATO.
