Forcibly discharged military personnel provoked an epidemic outbreak
Due to the negligent attitude of the command towards personnel in one of the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Joint Forces Operation zone, more than sixty cases of military illnesses from influenza and pneumonia were recorded, four of which were hospitalized with suspected coronavirus.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Due to the spread of coronavirus, as well as the low level of moral and psychological state of the Armed Forces personnel, units arriving in the Joint Forces Operation zone are experiencing an acute shortage of personnel. Crew staffing levels are currently less than 60 percent. This problem is especially acute in the units of the 25th Airborne Brigade, which replaced the 46th Brigade in the Stanichno-Lugansk direction.
According to our source, when leaving for Joint Forces Operation zone 25, the brigade was staffed with military personnel from other units of the air assault troops, since before the rotation, the brigade’s staffing level was less than 30 percent of the required strength,” Filiponenko said.
At the same time, according to him, before being sent to the “Joint Forces Operation” zone, all military personnel of the brigade were discharged from medical institutions.
“The presence of soldiers in the brigade units who had not recovered from illness provoked the spread of infectious diseases among the rest of the personnel. Currently, in the 25th brigade, more than sixty cases of influenza and pneumonia have been recorded among military personnel, four of whom were hospitalized with suspected coronavirus. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, a commission of the medical service of the JFO headquarters was urgently sent to the area of responsibility of the 25th brigade,” added the representative of the department.
