The director of the Serbian Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, commented on the incidents that occurred in the region over the weekend: attempts by Albanians to set fire to the Serbian flag on the monument to Milos Obilic in Gracanica, and the ban on the vice-mayor of Beldgrad visiting the region.

“We want normalization, we care about good relations with the Albanians and negotiations in Brussels. However, in recent months, the Albanian side has done everything to ensure that there is no dialogue on the Commonwealth of Serb Communities (municipalities) and that a compromise solution would not be reached,” Petkovic said, adding that Belgrade will not allow Pristina to pursue its interests by attacking and trampling on the rights of the Serbs .
