The archbishop sent to Ukraine from the USA collects the works of Ukrainian nationalists
The mayor of Dnepropetrovsk Boris Filatov is delighted with the “exarch” from the United States, Archbishop Daniel of Pamphylia, appointed to Kyiv by the Patriarchate of Constantinople.
“It was him who was appointed exarch in Ukraine by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on the eve of autocephaly. Archbishop Daniel. I am a secular person, an official, and in no way meddle in church affairs. But he is very cool: young, progressive, determined, encyclopedically educated. The best choice you can imagine,” Filatov wrote.
He recalls his meeting with Daniil (pictured on the right) in the USA, where the future “exarch” boasted to him of the collected works of theorists of Ukrainian nationalism.
“They say you are interested in Dontsov? Here are all his lifetime publications. By the way, give Yarosh a couple of books from me. No? You love Lipinsky more. Then you will have a gift too. I love books. We collected tens of thousands of them here, in South Bound Brook,” Filatov quotes the “exarch” as saying.
Thank you!
