Hello, 1937: The SBU is looking for pests who supplied spoiled motor oil to the tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Security Service of Ukraine suspects employees of the Ministry of Defense of purchasing low-quality motor oil for tanks at the direction of Russian intelligence services. The company that supplies this oil is connected with people’s deputy Alexander Ponomarev (the “Will of the People” group), the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This is evidenced by the definition of the Shevchenko district court of Kiev on January 10.
“According to the materials of criminal proceedings, officials of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, acting with the knowledge and in prior agreement with representatives of special and intelligence agencies of the Russian Federation and business entities, since 2016, have committed actions to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, defense capability and state security of Ukraine by purchases for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of motor oil for tank engines with motor performance properties of inadequate quality, the use of which can lead to failure of armored vehicles and harm the defense capability and security of the state,” the reasoning part of the court decision says.
In particular, it was established that on December 22, 2016, an agreement was concluded between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and Agrinol Trading House LLC, as well as additional agreements for the supply of 350 tons of motor oil for armored vehicles.
During the pre-trial investigation, information was obtained that the Agrinol enterprise changed the recipe for the production of oil, but did not conduct qualification tests in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation.
Based on the results of tests carried out in June 2017, it was found that the oil does not meet regulatory requirements, which leads to the formation of ash, carbon deposits during engine operation and, as a result, their failure.
Moreover, on August 30, 2017, law enforcement authorities seized a bribe of 1,5 million hryvnias, which the representative of Agrinol handed over to the head of the fuel and combustible materials service of the Rear Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces as a reward for winning the tender.
In addition, during the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the head of the 10th Chemotological Center of the Ministry of Defense was involved in the criminal scheme, which arranged for the issuance of knowingly false quality protocols for motor oil.
According to the SBU, as of October 6, 2017, more than 20 tank engines failed due to the use of low-quality oil.
"Agrinol" is a company associated with people's deputy Alexander Ponomarev ("Will of the People" group).
