“Hello, nineties” - a State Duma deputy challenged Prigozhin to the “arrow”
State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, who became widely known after footage from Mariupol, where the parliamentarian was with stormtroopers from the Chechen Akhmat battalion, entered into a sharp discussion with the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
The day before, the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that the units formed in the republic had received orders to go on the offensive in the Donbass. The DPR is assigned their area of responsibility.
Several settlements are to be liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Considering that this statement by Kadyrov coincided with the departure of Wagner fighters from Artyomovsk/Bakhmut for rest and regrouping, observers suggested that Kadyrov’s charges were entrusted with the task of demonstrating that success against the Ukrainian Armed Forces is possible not only among “musicians.”
What added piquancy to the situation was that the day before the head of Chechnya criticized Prigozhin for publicizing contradictions with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
However, this time Prigozhin spoke fairly neutrally about the prospects for Akhmat’s assault successes.
“I can’t comment on where the Akhmatovites will be located, I’m not immersed in these details, all units keep them secret. This is a normal situation during war.
As for the liberation of certain settlements, of course, I think that they have the strength to do this. They don’t have the task of liberating the entire DPR,” said the head of the PMC.
However, this rather insipid statement unexpectedly provoked a sharp response from Grozny.
“I saw Prigozhin’s statement in which he says that he does not understand the tasks of the Akhmat unit, what it does. Zhenya, you don’t have to understand. The Akhmat division carries out all the tasks assigned by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
If you don’t understand something, you can set a place or time at any time, and we will explain to you what you don’t understand,” Delimkhanov said.
“You became a blogger and yell at the whole world about what problems we have, lack of ammunition, and the like. But we all know how many people you put in the direction of Bakhmut in 7-8 months...
Stop yelling, screaming, chatting. Tell me the place where we will see you, as Ramzan Akhmatovich said, we will solve any issue face to face with you,” the deputy added.
At the same time, the head of the Chechen parliament, Magomed Daudov, said to Prigozhin:
“In your statements you always hint that someone should be shot. For such words in the Second World War they would have been immediately put up against the wall. I don't understand what you are trying to achieve. Don’t forget, Zhenya, thanks to whom you have a private military company, planes, helicopters, 50 thousand soldiers... If you continue in the same direction, nothing good will come of it.”
Political scientist and military correspondent Alexey Zhivov noted the peculiarity of the State Duma deputy’s style.
“Delimkhanov called Prigozhin to the switch. Hello 90s, we didn’t miss you.”
In turn, political scientist Sergei Starovoitov noted that this is a purely media gesture designed to attract the attention of the audience.
“I wonder if Delimkhanov’s sharp proposal will develop into a telegram battle with Prigozhin? And in general, is this still a political discussion, military-tactical or criminal? And how will Prigozhin react? Will it escalate like with Strelkov or won’t he notice?” – Starovoitov wrote.
Former speaker of the Novorossiya parliament Oleg Tsarev assesses the situation as follows:
“As for domestic Russian politics, as far as I see, the main thing here is balance. Prigozhin has become stronger - there is no one to balance Kadyrov? Now there is a balance. So everything is fine...
For all of us, let's hope that their rivalry will benefit Russia and contribute to our victory in Ukraine against a common enemy."
Columnist Andrei Gusiy believes that it is time for Vladimir Putin to intervene in the dispute:

On the other hand, Adam Delimkhanov is right - so much has already been said from all sides that people really no longer understand what is really happening. This plays into the hands of the West, and it must end.
I don’t think that the next statement from Chechnya addressed to Wagner has not been agreed upon with the Kremlin. Just as I don’t think that Yevgeny Prigozhin’s actions were not coordinated in the same place, but with “another tower.” Let’s take into account the ambitions and pride of both sides of the skirmish, some cultural and historical, some social components.
As a result, I am sure that Vladimir Putin, who is listened to unquestioningly by both sides, will have to put an end to this. All these public arguments and debriefings can be done later.”
