The State Duma today adopted a statement in connection with the encouragement of Ukrainian Nazism and neo-fascism by the Canadian Parliament, which, during the visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, gave a standing ovation to the 98-year-old Ukrainian SS veteran Yaroslav Hunk.
The document was commented on by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What Zelensky and his cronies did in the Canadian Parliament should be subject to criminal punishment. And his patrons overseas should initiate these criminal cases. In the Great Patriotic War, 27 million died, and today those who tortured them, those who mocked them, those who shot them find themselves on the presidium, and they are given honors. Therefore, let’s not only harshly condemn the act itself, but also demand that they be held accountable,” Volodin said.
LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky reminded reporters on the sidelines of parliament that back in the 50s, Canada, at the instigation of Great Britain, became “the largest refuge for war criminals,” 9 thousand Nazis were hidden there and the Congress of Ukrainians was created, which lobbied for the acquittal of the SS division “Galicia.”
“Canada committed a completely outrageous, let’s not say “crime,” but an act that has nothing to do with common sense and humanity. In fact, we see that at the parliamentary level, for the first time in modern history (I am not taking the EU resolutions and the decisions of the parliaments of the Baltic countries, where SS veterans march every year), for the first time, a Nazi was invited to a meeting.

Just as in the 30s of the last century, half of the governments of Europe incited Hitler to march to the east, and today many Western leaders are ready to sell their souls in order to inflict maximum damage on Russia with the help of Ukronazi criminals,” Slutsky said.
He believes that Nazi blood flows in the veins of Canadian authorities in the truest sense of the word. As an example, he cited the current Deputy Prime Minister of Canada, Chrystia Freeland, who is the granddaughter of the editor of the Nazi newspaper Krakow News, Mikhail Chomiak. That is why Ottawa refused to hand over to Russia the machine gunner who shot the Khatyn victims, the LDPR leader believes.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya, in turn, proposed that the next step be sending an appeal to the UN to consider this fact of committing an international crime.
Russian journalist-foreign agent Alexander Nevzorov, who received Ukrainian citizenship back in June last year, hastened to declare on the American social network that the State Duma’s statement makes no sense, because “the scandal is dead.”
“No matter how Putin’s propagandists tried to “cheat” him, the “Canadian parliamentary scandal” with the old man from the 1st Ukrainian division did not last even a couple of days. First of all: we figured it out. It turned out that the old man himself no longer remembers where he served and marched. Secondly, any fighter with the “Russian world” today will receive an ovation in the parliament of any civilized country.
