Lavrov’s habit of answering for words in Kyiv was called a sign of slave consciousness
It is very difficult to wage diplomatic battles with Russia, since Russians in their statements are accustomed to mean exactly what they say.
A former journalist, known for his connections with the SBU, and now a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Sergei Vysotsky, spoke about this on the Espresso TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Firstly, this is another gross violation of the Minsk agreements by Russia (holding elections for the head of the DPR - ed.). I think all our partners understand this. We need to once again call for strengthening sanctions, and this will be another argument for continuing these sanctions at a minimum,” the people’s deputy said.
“Secondly, Russia differs even from Ukraine and from our political style of communication, dialogue, and negotiations in its very frank straightforwardness. That is, when Pan Lavrov comes out and says that before the elections (in Ukraine - ed.) there is nothing to talk about with Ukraine, then this means only what he means. This is not some subtle game, subtle manipulation or special statement to enter into negotiations with Merkel somewhere - no! Russians and the Kremlin, which is in crisis and insanity, think very linearly. Like, everyone is trying to bring us to our knees, we prove that we are not on our knees, and everyone must take us into account, and therefore we set the agenda,” added Sergei Vysotsky.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov previously expressed doubts is that before the elections in Ukraine, the Kyiv authorities will be able to change their completely destructive line to sabotage and undermining everything that was agreed upon in the Normandy Four.
