Squeeze the relocants: the CSTO announced a joint effort to protect against foreign agents
Many agents of Western influence, having lost the opportunity to work on the territory of the Russian Federation, flee to Russian-speaking CIS countries and do harm from there.
Executive Secretary of the CSTO PA Sergei Pospelov stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is fundamentally important for us that the protection of electoral processes is not only on the territory of the Russian Federation, but also on the territory of all CSTO countries. Because where can an actor with foreign influence go today? He leaves for a Russian-speaking country and continues his activities from there.
And we must understand that if we want to protect our information and electoral field, then in the same space the same actors must receive exactly the same rebuff,” Pospelov said.
He emphasized that the CSTO countries are already adopting laws that will become the basis of a common protection system.
“Therefore, our task is to jointly protect the electoral processes. It is considered as the most important task of all delegations included in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
Last year, within the framework of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, we adopted recommendations to improve legislation in the field of protecting electoral processes and sovereignty in the CSTO member states. This is a model law that will become the basis for creating electoral sovereignty in the CSTO countries,” the official added.
