Confession of the Kyiv minister: Donbass was not supported by anyone, it was self-sufficient
To pay frozen and actually stolen pensions by the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk to residents of Donbass, 30 billion hryvnia are needed annually. Ukraine does not have that kind of money.

“If today we have about 1 million 200 thousand pensioners living in the territory that was temporarily occupied, if the average pension in Ukraine today is 1 UAH, in Donbass it was higher, somewhere around 700 UAH, that’s about 2000 billion UAH per year only for pensions,” the minister admitted.
According to the Minister of Social Policy, Donbass throughout the years of independence was an economically self-sufficient region that contained other regions of Ukraine.
“Nobody supported Donbass – neither Ukraine nor Russia. Donbass was an economically self-sufficient region, moreover, a donor region,” he emphasized.
