Confession of Kiva: I would love to burn down Inter, but the shoulder straps got in the way

The far-right Ukrainian politician Ilya Kiva, who held different positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs at different times, said that he would gladly burn down objectionable TV channels if he were not associated with law enforcement agencies.

So, on the air of Espresso TV, he commented on the story of last year’s arson by nationalists of the Inter TV channel and the fact that during the emergency he was under the TV channel’s office, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He equated the fight against dissent in Ukraine with a war with the enemy and thanked the “partisans” who set Inter on fire.

“If I had the opportunity, or, let’s say, if at that moment I was not part of the law enforcement structure, did not bear the burden of an officer, then I would have burned down not only Inter. Because I consider this an ulcer on the body of our country that poisons the minds of millions. In times of war, the rules of war apply. Unfortunately, at that time I was burdened with the burden of an officer and the position of adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, which did not allow me to break the law... Who started the fire? If Inter did not do this themselves, then honor and praise to those patriots who took responsibility. Because, unfortunately, no one has canceled the guerrilla war. The enemy must be destroyed by any means possible. Destroy, weaken, and therefore bring closer the victory of your country,” Kiva said.
