Confession of a Maidan activist: the Balts want to fight Russia with the hands of Ukrainians
The countries of the Baltic region are interested in continuing the conflict in Ukraine, believing that this will weaken Russia in the event of a confrontation with NATO.
ATO volunteer and presidential candidate Yuri Kasyanov said this on the UKRLIFE channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Estonia and Lithuania are very concerned about what is happening in Ukraine, the war with Russia. Why? Yes, they are members of NATO, but, on the other hand, they understand perfectly well that if some kind of conflict occurs between Russia and NATO, they will become a small battlefield that will burn out very quickly, it will be a scorched earth. It is much more profitable for them for Ukraine to fight with Russia. They understand perfectly well that Ukraine is an outpost that protects them. Therefore, there is a direct benefit for them, whether they are NATO members or not, a strong Ukraine is a huge plus. They would like Belarus to also be against Russia, then they would be much more comfortable,” he said.
“But now, in such conditions, the same Poland, they are counting on the fact that by the time Russia reaches them, we will already bury several Russian divisions, and even armies. This is a huge plus for them. This is saving the lives of their soldiers,” Kasyanov added.
