Confession of Kolomoisky’s comrade-in-arms: Ukrainian battalions carried out loot in columns from Donbass
The ex-deputy head of the Dnepropetrovsk region urged not to treat Ukrainian volunteer battalions “with asphyxiation.” Gennady Korban in interview to the Kyiv publication Gordon: “Many of them were looters. I was the first to understand this, but I closed my eyes because there was a war going on, and then I said to Avakov: “We need to transfer the volunteer battalions to the National Guard or the army, introduce strict discipline.”

Gennady Korban said that when “part of Ilovaisk had already been occupied by Donbass and Dnepr,” some battalions came with video cameras, posed, turned around and left with a cartload of loot. They didn’t help their brothers-in-arms, they left them to die.”
