Recognition of LDPR documents in Russia was not enough
The decision of the Russian government to recognize the passports of the DPR and LPR is not enough; it is necessary to begin the process of mass issuance of Russian citizenship to residents of Donbass.
The president of the Institute of National Strategy, political scientist Mikhail Remizov stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to say separately about the problem of the DPR and LPR. Unfortunately, the decision that was made at one time to recognize passports does not solve the social problem of stay, employment and contacts of these citizens with Russia.
First of all, because on the territory of these self-proclaimed republics a minority of the population are holders of the corresponding passports, simply because they want to continue to receive pensions in Ukraine and do not have any problems with contacts with that side.
Therefore, some separate solutions are needed here related to the mass distribution of citizenship. But these decisions will be made only if a political and legal framework is created,” the expert explained.
Let us recall that earlier Mikhail Remizov stated that Russian migrants from Ukraine can compensate for the demographic gap in Russia
