Taruta, who called for sabotage in the Donbass, screamed about the need to protect himself from the EU
Ukraine should not open its markets to European producers without first supporting its own.
Ukrainian oligarch, Verkhovna Rada deputy and ex-governor of the Kyiv-controlled part of the Donetsk region Sergei Taruta stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, previously called for sabotage in Donbass, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, by introducing a free trade zone with the EU and introducing European producers to Ukrainian markets, the Ukrainian government ruined domestic production, which turned out to be uncompetitive.
“We opened the borders with our neighbors, but at the same time we did not protect our domestic market. And now our enterprises are dying and closing. Why? Because their products are more competitive, because technologically they have been updated for a long time. There's cheap money, they offer you free money, just work. But we have old technology and an absolute lack of working capital... We cannot completely open the borders without protecting our own manufacturer,” Taruta said.
Earlier, Taruta said that with his aspirations to find himself in a highly developed European society as soon as possible, Ukraine deliberately destroys its own population.
As Reedus wrote, due to the war in Donbass and discord in relations with Russia, Ukraine risks losing its industrial production.
