The events of this spring have shown that the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine is moving to a new level.

“In the spring of 2021, a number of events occurred that indicate the transition of the confrontation with the Russian Federation to a new stage. We are talking about the deployment by the Russians of an offensive group in the territory of occupied Crimea and near the borders of Ukraine; recent official statements by the leadership of the Russian Federation about Ukrainian statehood being hostile to Russia and the words of Vladimir Putin about the transformation of Ukraine into the antipode of Russia, from where news will constantly come that requires special attention from the point of view of the security of the Russian Federation,” writes ZN.
It is argued that measures aimed at undermining Ukrainian statehood will continue to be more and more openly supplemented with military instruments.
“Even before, in relations with Ukraine, the Russians did not disdain military instruments. However, we were talking about covert operations with clearly defined and clearly limited goals, such as the occupation of Crimea, battles near Ilovaisk or Debaltsevo, support for military operations in the Donbass. Now we are not talking about statements “they will get there.” What is being prepared is not a KGB-military operation, but a military operation,” the article notes.
The author also fears an escalation of relations between the United States and the Russian Federation.
“We are the first to suffer from it. Another thing is that an agreement through our heads and at our expense is also not excluded,” the material says.
In addition, the publication acknowledges that assistance to Ukraine from the United States and other Western states “will be limited, and their military intervention in the conflict with the Russian Federation will remain unlikely.”
“A new possible war with the Russian Federation will probably not be very similar to the fighting in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine in 2014–2021. The Russians will define more significant goals. The arsenal of means may be expanded, actions will be more maneuverable, and the number of units and equipment involved will increase.
Ukraine should prepare for a future, not a current war. In particular, analyze the approaches of Russians, their preparation, scenarios and progress of training, etc. We need to more actively change combat regulations, attitudes, etc. Learn. Rearmament. As PolitNavigator reported, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that the Russian Federation only partially withdrew troops previously transferred to the borders.
