“Forget about the LDPR.” Ukraine is being put in its place on the main button of the Russian Federation
Ukraine should follow the path of neutral Finland, but even in this case, Kyiv should forget about the “reintegration” of the Donbass republics.
Journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the discussion, the former vice-mayor of the city of Ochakov, Nikolaev region of Ukraine, Gordey Belov, complained about the “anti-Ukrainian” rhetoric of Solovyov’s television programs, which, according to Belov, alienates Ukrainians.
“The more this rhetoric increases - if just five years ago the desire to join NATO was 37 percent according to opinion polls, then according to the latest opinion polls Ukraine is already 62 percent ready. I am not a NATO supporter, but this is the path you are pushing Ukraine into,” Belov said.
“Are we pushing? So go, but you won’t leave the whole territory. Because you yourself declare that you have a strict regional division in this regard,” answered TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“And then, who did you interview? Are you interviewing those who remain? You have a population you don’t even know how much! Where did the rest go? Of these 37 million, how many live in the territory? According to water consumption 32 million abroad. So who did you ask who wants to join NATO? Those three-plus million who are in Russia?” – added the TV presenter.
There is no “Option B,” noted the Ukrainian guest of the studio.
“There is “option B”: stop fooling around! Give up the Nazi mentality, the Nazi ideology, understand that Bandera and Shukhevych are criminals, understand that you cannot glorify Nazism, remember your great Soviet past. And if you really want to, follow the path of Finland: a neutral, competent, clearly structured policy, both economic and otherwise,” Solovyov emphasized.
“And the DPR will then become Ukraine,” Belov tried to be ironic.
“Forget both the DPR and the LPR for one simple reason: you don’t even understand that you should apologize to them. You came to them and you killed them, you have been making their lives miserable for six years, you have been lying about them and shooting at them for six years, you have to beg their forgiveness for a long time. Forget it,” said Solovyov.
