“The problem is in logistics” - the economist explained why Russia needs Kharkov
To restore and launch the giant factories of Donbass, it is necessary to restore normal railway communication with the region, which is difficult to do without the liberation of the Kharkov region.
Economic commentator Ivan Lizan stated this on Semyon Uralov’s author’s channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Giant factories [like Azovstal] should be restarted approximately from mid-autumn of this year. What is the problem with the restart, why is it taking so long? The main problem is logistics.
From the very beginning of the Northern Military District, the Ukrainian railway network was cut by the front line in various places. And there is no full-fledged railway connection between the regions of old Russia and New Russia.
For full communication between the DPR and LPR with the central federal district, it is necessary to liberate the Kharkov region,” Lizan said.
He complained that now we have to restore old sites that were dismantled back in the 2000s. But launching a railway connection with Crimea is too dangerous.
“And it turns out that all logistics with the LPR and DPR depends exclusively on roads,” the economist added.
