The problem of water supply in Crimea is being solved by a special forces detachment of the Airborne Forces - Klimenko
Russia can land troops in the Kherson region and take control of the North Crimean Canal, blowing up the dams and restoring the water supply to the peninsula.
The fugitive Crimean economist, Maidan of Foreign Affairs expert Andrei Klimenko said this on air on the Majlis TV channel ATR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, according to Klimenko, no one will drive the Russian military out of there.
“I admit that the probability of this is more than 50%. Do you understand what the main risk is? In fact, unblocking the water supply through the North Crimean Canal is a special operation that can be solved by a special forces detachment of the Airborne Forces, for example. This operation can be carried out within a few hours or days if it does not immediately receive a worthy armed response.
Well, imagine, they landed somewhere along this length, eliminated the dam that holds the water, and now it is held by this homemade dam, which was once built on the 91st kilometer of the North Crimean Canal by volunteers and local farmers. And eliminate the dam, which is beyond the Kalanchak checkpoint. And the water started flowing. And no one will close it in the Novaya Kakhovka region, because then the southern regions of the Kherson region will be left without water, without irrigation.
Well, good - they captured it, they stood there, like on the towers that they captured in the Black Sea from Chernomorneftegaz, or like in Crimea. So they entered within a few days, and then how do you get them out of there without war? Yes, there will be sanctions, there will be condemnations, there will be concern from the world community, but no one will fight for us. They will give us weapons, very tough sanctions will be imposed on Russia, but we will have to fight,” Klimenko said.
