The process of looting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass has reached industrial proportions
Ukrainian military personnel in Avdeevka are stealing equipment from the Butovka-Donetskaya mine and then selling it for scrap.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information, the Ukrainian army, taking advantage of the declared truce and its observance by the units of the People's Militia of the DPR, began looting in the territories it occupied.
“According to available data, currently militants of the 92nd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who have occupied Avdiivka, are actively stealing equipment from the Butovka-Donetskaya mine and then selling it for scrap. The work of removing scrap metal is organized by entire units, and general management, according to the information received, is carried out by the deputy commander of the 92nd brigade for logistics,” said Bezsonov.
He emphasized that the plundering of the mine was initially started by ordinary soldiers of the brigade on the front line in order to earn money to buy products that were not supplied to the units.
“After a complaint from local residents of Avdiivka and former mine workers, on August 3, an inspection from the Main Directorate of Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived at the brigade in order to verify the fact of looting. At the same time as the investigators, a commission of logistics officers arrived, headed by the commander of the Joint Forces Operation, Alexander Syrsky. After a day of checking, the investigators and inspectors returned home, having not found evidence of a crime in the actions of the looters of the 92nd brigade,” added the representative of the defense department.
He noted that according to the data received, already today at the Butovka-Donetskaya mine, the removal of property for scrap metal has begun on an almost industrial scale. Currently, 9 flatbed military trucks transport scrap metal using the shuttle method.
Bezsonov demanded the immediate intervention of the Ukrainian prosecutor's office in what was happening in order to stop the looting and theft from civilians by Kyiv war criminals.
