The MH17 trial is a political trial that has nothing to do with the investigation
The West blamed Russia for the downing of a Boeing over Donbass in 2014 immediately after the tragedy, and is not interested in any objective facts or evidence.
Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich stated this during the Moscow-Vienna video bridge, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Dutch have begun legal procedures that we consider deeply politicized,” the diplomat said. – Russia was excluded from participation in the investigation, although it worked closely with the investigative authorities, providing all the necessary information. We consider those judicial procedures to be a political trial that has nothing to do with a professional investigation.”
Lukashevich cited the example of Dutch journalist Max Van der Werff, who published a letter from Dutch military intelligence to the Dutch Public Prosecutor's Office, according to which not a single Russian Buk M1 complex has crossed the Russian border with Ukraine since the beginning of the armed conflict. There was no reaction from Dutch justice to this information.
“Discussions initiated by Dutch colleagues show a very highly politicized approach of a number of states, primarily the United States, which directly names Russia, regardless of the evidence, as the culprit. Without Russia’s participation, this investigation has no real prospects,” added the Russian representative to the OSCE.
Earlier it was reported that at the trial in The Hague erupted Russophobic speech.
