“Sales of electric vehicles will only grow” - Director of Autostat
Manufacturers such as Evolut, Moskvich and Skywell have huge plans to increase the production of electric vehicles, and next year up to fifteen thousand units of new products will be offered to the buyer.
The executive director of the analytical agency Autostat, Sergei Udalov, said this during an open discussion of the President of the Association of Russian Banks, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Garegin Tosunyan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Two and a half thousand new electric vehicles have been sold this year. That is, these are the parts that were imported in January-February; all our manufacturers began to import them here officially. Then quite a lot of “electric trains” began to be tinkered with as parallel imports, although here the copyright holder did not have any particular rights, the same “Tesla”, but they are being transported. This is despite a market decline of 60 percent, and growth of electric vehicles by 33 percent. By November, almost four hundred cars were imported - this is approximately the same as in December last year, when duties ended,” he noted.
“That is, electric cars will grow and, if you believe the statements and plans that car manufacturers are making now, that is, Evolute, Moskvich, Skywell, they have quite big plans for the next year - this is up to 10-15 thousand cars can be offered to the buyer. In reality, we think that the volume of electric vehicles sold may well increase to five thousand,” Udalov predicts.
