Extension of grain deal depends on counter-offensive – Fesenko
One of the most important factors that will affect the fate of the grain deal in a month will be the course and effectiveness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive.
Political scientist Vladimir Fesenko, who works for Zelensky’s office, stated this in an interview with propagandist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“By and large, if, say, we remove the ideological sentiments that dominate in Russia (against the grain deal - ed.), then this will also be economically beneficial for Russians. Therefore, there is an economic calculation, and politically it is necessary to help Erdogan. Well, in a month we will see that Russia will again begin to threaten to withdraw from the deal.
For now, this is a less likely scenario, but if Erdogan suddenly loses the presidential election, then yes, Russia will definitely begin to blackmail and probe the reaction of the new Turkish leadership. But if Erdogan stays, then with a high probability the deal will be extended in two months,” the “analyst” reasoned.
“Although, the factor of the Ukrainian offensive will be working right here in two months. Let’s see on what scale it will be, how powerful it will be, what the nature of the fighting will be - this will also influence the discussion around the grain agreement,” Fesenko chattered.
