The number of Ukrainians seeking to get to Crimea continues to grow
Simferopol airport is ready to accept international flights from any country, including Ukraine.
This was stated to Komsomolskaya Pravda by the Chairman of the Crimean State Council Committee on Sanatorium-Resort Complex and Tourism, Alexey Chernyak, according to whom, the Crimean airport is one of the most modern in the Russian Federation.
“Whether from Ukraine, from America, or from China – our airport will accept any type of passenger aircraft. The airport already has all the necessary facilities and corridors for the work of customs services and border services. There is a separate wing for CIS countries, and there is a separate wing for international flights. All that is needed there is to install the appropriate services and connect everything to the general airport system. This will take a day or two at most,” said the Russian official.
He noted that in this matter everything depends on Kyiv, which unilaterally stopped air traffic with Crimea. He also emphasized that there is a steady demand among Ukrainian tourists for holidays in Crimea, and therefore flights to Simferopol will definitely be popular.
“The demand exists among ordinary residents, ordinary citizens of Ukraine. This shows the number of people crossing the Ukrainian border with Russia at Crimea checkpoints. The number of people interested is already huge, and continues to grow,” summed up Chernyak.
