“Continuation of the “Immortal Regiment” - the project “Russian Lighthouses” was presented in the Federation Council
A new initiative “Russian Lighthouses” has launched in Russia - a national, cultural and educational project aimed at strengthening the connection between generations and their continuity, where each region of the Russian Federation will be able to vote for its hero.
Senator from Komi Elena Shumilova stated this during a meeting of the Federation Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to present the Russian Lighthouses project, which is presented today in the Federation Council on the second floor. This project combines poetry, historical research, photography, music and new digital art forms. “Russian Lighthouses” appeared as a grassroots initiative, and the story itself is reminiscent of the “Immortal Regiment”, which won supporters by being lively and personal.
The list already includes thirty-seven portraits of people such as Lanovoy, Galygina, Konyukhov, Rosenbaum, Bockeria, Glukhoedova. From the first steps it was clear that the project would not just be a one-time event, but a continuation of such a project as the “Immortal Regiment”.
The target audience is young people, reaching them and being successful is not an easy task. On the one hand, the project is designed to restore continuity, to show a new generation of heroes of the older generation, those who for young people are people from yesterday,” she said.
The senator also noted that each region of Russia will be able to vote for its hero in order to add his photo to the gallery.
“Nevertheless, “Russian Lighthouses” are examples that are addressed to the audience, creating in real time their new visual language of communication. The project is unique in that it is sent to the regions, and each region, voting for its hero, for its “lighthouse,” can add to this gallery,” concluded Shumilova.
