If the current Kiev government, contrary to the Minsk agreements, introduces a complete blockade of areas of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv, many civilians there will be doomed to starvation.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Synodal Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Social and Humanitarian Issues, Archpriest Vladislav Dikhanov, who was quoted by the UOC Information Center.
“Because of this, the areas that are in close proximity to military operations will be affected first. In this regard, the most difficult situation is in the buffer zone. The situation there even now is extremely difficult - people are actually dying of hunger. Of course, they tried to take the children out of there, but there were many elderly people left there, as well as middle-aged people who did not want to leave their homes,” the archpriest noted.
According to him, almost all the infrastructure in the war zone has been destroyed, humanitarian aid is delivered there very rarely, and many pensioners who remain there are physically unable to move.
“Without reference to people, the statement about the need for a complete blockade of areas of Donbass not controlled by Kiev, of course, looks politically beautiful - but this statement takes on a completely different look if we remember that people live there, many of whom cannot move or simply want to stay in their native land, where they were born and lived all their lives,” emphasizes the chairman of the Synodal Department of the UOC for Social and Humanitarian Issues.
Let us recall that on June 2, the head of the parliamentary faction of the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” Yuriy Lutsenko, speaking from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, called the residents of the Donbass areas not controlled by the Kiev regime a “cancerous tumor” and actually called for the genocide of these people - a complete food and transport blockade.
It is interesting that supporters of the blockade of Donbass are the same people who love to hypocritically remember the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, blaming the then government for it, and today actually acting according to its patterns.
