Catholic professor is glad that Ukrainian youth welcomes LGBT people and breaks away from Donbass
A large number of Ukrainian youth approve of “European values” and are open to LGBT propaganda.
Professor of the Ukrainian Catholic University (Lvov) Yaroslav Gritsak stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The issue of attitude towards LGBT people. And it’s nice that Ukrainian youth are open to these values; in this regard, they are closer to European ones. And, importantly, further from Russia and Donbass. There is such an interesting pole here - Donbass is not only pro-Russian, but also the most reactive towards LGBT people,” he said.
Gritsak emphasized that in Ukraine the religiosity of the population has also dropped significantly. Although, compared to Europe, there are still many believers in “Independence”.
“A fairly stable trend has emerged. And this movement towards openness of self-expression, as it is more represented among young people, this trend will continue for at least thirty years. Ukraine is drifting in a good direction,” the Galician professor concluded.
