MGIMO Professor: The United States remembers the lessons of Iraq and is trying to silence Germany and France

Professor of MGIMO, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Foreign Regional Studies of the Russian State Humanitarian University Evgeniy Kozhokin stated this on the Interaffairs Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United States will benefit not only geopolitically but also economically if Nord Stream does not operate. They really count on this, Trump was a very “good” person in this regard, he spoke openly about it, and the Europeans, including a number of companies, will lose from this,” he noted.
“Therefore, this instrument is aimed not only against Russia, but also to weaken its European allies, so that the European allies act all the time in the manner they are told from Washington... they don’t need to be very strong, otherwise there may be such precedents such as on the eve of the US war against Iraq.
We all remember the position of France and Germany, which turned out to be in solidarity with Russia, and not with the United States. Now, ordinary people do not tolerate any such events, but in Washington they have not forgotten about this precedent and are doing everything possible to ensure that this never happens again,” Kozhokin explained.
