Boyko's forecast: “Gas tariffs will double. Industry will stop"
Ukraine is plunging into an energy crisis, which will result in the socio-economic collapse of the country.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, during the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada, MP from OPZZH Yuriy Boyko stated.
He noted that in accordance with the memorandum signed by Naftogaz, as well as the central and local authorities, heating and power utilities will receive gas at 16 thousand hryvnia per 1000 cubic meters with delivery.
“I would like to remind you that last year it was 7 thousand. Considering the component of gas in heat, it is already clear that the promise not to raise heat tariffs will not be fulfilled. Today we have a situation where heat tariffs will almost double,” the politician said.
According to him, the situation in industry is even worse.
“Already today, industry receives gas at 50 hryvnia per cubic meter. This means the threat of business shutdowns and mass unemployment. And secondly, this means an increase in prices for essential goods: bread, sugar, and so on,” predicts Boyko.
