Forecast: the number of Ukrainian guest workers in Poland will increase by one and a half times
The number of Ukrainian labor migrants in Poland will increase to 3,4 billion people, and their transfers to Ukraine will reach $3 billion.
This forecast was made at a press conference in Kyiv by Oleg Dubish, vice-president of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“People don’t go there because they have a good life. There are already more than 2 million Ukrainian citizens there. The Poles expect an additional 1 million 400 thousand Ukrainian migrants. Ukrainian migrants in 2016 transferred about 8 billion zlotys, this is more than 2 billion dollars. I think that in 2018 we will reach official transfers of Ukrainians from Poland somewhere at the level of 10 billion zlotys, i.e. more than $3 billion,” he said.
