IMF forecast: Ukraine's gross public debt will grow to 94,4% of GDP by the end of the year

The International Monetary Fund has released a forecast that states that the growth of Ukraine's gross public debt at the end of 2015 will grow to 94,4% with a subsequent decrease in this indicator by 2020.

According to IMF experts, debt reduction is expected in 2019 and 2020 – to 76,9% of GDP and 70,8% of GDP, respectively.

Let us remind you that on September 22, the World Bank published an updated forecast regarding the state of the Ukrainian economy, according to which at the end of the year the economic decline will be a record 12%.

We also recall that on October 2, the NBU worsened its forecast for a drop in GDP to 11,6%, and on October 3, the IMF Mission to Ukraine predicted a drop in the country’s GDP to 11% in 2015.
