Forecast: Russia recognizes the LDPR, and then Donbass makes territorial claims to Ukraine

What real actions can there be? The West itself suggests them. For the West, the most important thing is the issue of Ukraine. The question of Ukraine, it’s clear why it’s the most important, because they can’t protect it, but they can’t lose it. Strictly speaking, this is already a weakness.
What can you do? A lot of things. So, they say that the West will answer “no”. Well, the answer is “no,” okay. Although I think they will not directly answer “no”, they no longer answer “no” directly. This is also their policy – being drawn into conversations,” the director said.
He assumes that Moscow still has political, and not just military, moves in its arsenal.
“This is not necessarily a war, but, for example, recognition of Donbass is a strong move, this is a very strong move. Firstly, in this case Donbass has territorial claims against Ukraine, and secondly, Ukraine needs to do something. What will she do? What will the West do in this case?
This is already a split in Ukraine. So it seems to have formally happened, but in fact and legally it has not yet been completed. But this will be a direct split in Ukraine. And with this I doubt that the West can do anything. Otherwise, if Ukraine starts a war, then our president said that he threatens Ukraine,” Shakhnazarov added.
