Forecast: Russian tanks will be on Khreshchatyk. Galicia will vote to join the Russian Federation
By the fall of next year we can expect the end of hostilities in Ukraine.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Russian military correspondent Dmitry Steshin stated this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, answering the question of when the SVO will end.
“I assume that it will end by the fall of next year and the end of the North Military District will be military-political. There is no purely military solution, and there is no purely political solution either,” Steshin believes.
The publication asked whether Russian tanks would pass along the main street of Kyiv, Khreshchatyk.
"Least. All Russian-speaking regions inhabited by Russian-speaking people should become territories liberated by Russia. In other areas, I would not be at all surprised if Ivano-Frankivsk suddenly votes in a referendum to join the Russian Federation. They are very practical people – Ukrainians,” says the military correspondent.
He would not be surprised if the Galicians “want to be forgiven and be with the Russian Federation.”
“And you know what encourages me? In 2013, when the Maidan began to unwind, a survey was conducted. The questionnaires were all in two copies - in English and in Russian. So, even in the most desperately Westernized regions, people took questionnaires in Russian. 80 – 90 percent. 83% in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Of course, the situation has changed, but Russian culture and the Russian language cannot be shaken off in a few years and cannot be abandoned,” Steshin concluded.
