Forecast: Power in Ukraine will pass into the hands of the right-wing radical junta
Flirting with nationalists and bringing them into the army leadership will lead to the fact that military radicals may come to power in Ukraine in three or four years.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the First Independent TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bortnik, this will lead to the country turning into an analogue of a Latin American dictatorship.
“Zelensky does not understand the risk of this process, since the right, led by a popular general, is a direct road to some kind of regime of colonels. Now this sounds frivolous, but believe me, three or four years will pass, Zelensky has now placed popular military men - defenders of the Donetsk airport and others, three or four years will pass, these right-wing structures within the army, led by a popular military man, can pose a very serious competition to our traditional civil politicians. Moreover, not always formal,” the expert said.
“Ukraine, if it continues in its current development model, sooner or later will become Latinized and the military and security forces will receive more and more power... Moreover, the military, who came to power in dubious elections, will have some Egyptian scenarios, Greek scenarios in due time , Portuguese,” said Bortnik.
