Forecasts for tourist flow to Crimea were exceeded twice
For Russians, the risk of being denied tour bookings has increased, which is due to the flow of tourists from Egypt and Turkey to affordable beach holidays within the country - mainly to Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, Izvestia reports.

“The undisputed first place in terms of the number of tours sold now belongs to domestic tourism, where the shares of requests for vacations in the Krasnodar Territory (Sochi) and Crimea are distributed almost evenly,” the publication notes. – The most in demand are economy class hotels, from which we are increasingly receiving information about the lack of accommodation opportunities. As Alexander Osaulenko, director of the association “Association of Tour Operators in the Field of Outbound Tourism “Turpomosch””, told Izvestia, forecasts for the tourist flow to the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea, which were made back in the spring of this year, have now been exceeded almost twice. If at the beginning of the season the growth in tourist flow to domestic destinations was expected to be 15–20% by the end of this year, now it is predicted, as at the end of 2015, about 25–30%, which indicates the fact of pent-up demand, the interlocutor noted.”
According to Osaulenko, “this year was, perhaps, the first when Russian tourists began to vacation en masse within the country.”
