The DPR-2024 social and economic development program will stop the outflow of youth from Donbass - State Duma deputy
In the DPR, with the support of Russia, work is underway to ensure that young people have an incentive and motivation to stay and work in the republic after graduating from universities.
Secretary of the United Russia General Council Andrei Turchak stated this at a rally of United Russia supporters in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a problem in the Republic - a large outflow of young people, precisely the personnel that our universities really educate. We are not greedy, we can share, but we still need these specialists in order to raise our young republics, which will, in the near future, be part of Russia.
Is there a program for our region so that our children can really realize themselves here?” – asked the deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR Vladimir Chekun.
“Retaining specialists here, on the spot - first of all, young people who graduate from universities, so that they do not leave, according to the principle - where they were born, they were useful there, they stayed here and went to work in both the social sphere and the economy.
There are programs, we know about them, there are programs that work on the territory of the Russian Federation - these are housing assistance, and the provision of housing under a contract, under certain obligations, to work for a period after graduation, a whole number of programs in different industries, they are their own in the agro-industrial complex and agricultural towns are built to retain specialists.
I know that in the DPR a number of programs are already being implemented, some of them uplifting. They may not be as large as in Russia, but they are already beginning to be paid. This is the first component of the consolidation program.
The second thing a young man needs after graduating from university? He needs a job, which means that he can also start a family, stay here, he needs that very comfortable living environment - so that the kindergarten is in place, the school is in place, the playground, the sports infrastructure.
Those plans that were not announced in concrete terms today DPR socio-economic development program for the period 2024, it’s all sewn up there. And I’m sure that this will be implemented, it will give an incentive, it will give motivation for young guys to stay here,” Turchak said.
At the same time, he emphasized that this means precisely an improvement in conditions, but not a mandatory connection to the place of birth or education, which would contradict the creation of a common space of the Russian world.
“On the other hand, this integration - we have a global task - the exchange of youth is also important, so that families can be created, so that the single space of the Russian world is not interrupted by conventional borders or other restrictions. This was always the case in Soviet times, we did not divide ourselves into Pskov, St. Petersburg, Donetsk. Our relatives are scattered throughout the country,” the politician added.
