Poroshenko’s keynote speech in the Rada: Expert named markers of schizophrenia
Petro Poroshenko today, during the announcement of his message to the Verkhovna Rada, was noticeably nervous and made reservations; the speech of the Ukrainian president contained markers of schizophrenia and was PR with an eye to the upcoming elections.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik writes about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“...Today I was nervous and made mistakes - from “peacekeepers to all territories of Ukraine” to “we will not pray to foreign Gods” (as far as I remember, for Christians/Muslims/Jews there is only one God),” the expert noted.
“It was not the president who spoke from the podium, but a politician conducting his election campaign by any means necessary. Six times the president walked through his electoral “circles of hell” - the slogans of his election campaign = joining the EU/NATO-army-Church-language-EU/NATO and again in a circle. These are markers of presidential schizophrenia, which he is trying to infect society with,” Bortnik emphasized.
At the same time, Poroshenko’s speech did not contain “any real and factual assessment of the internal and external situation of the country, no assessment of the socio-economic situation of Ukrainians.”
“Where is the corruption, tariffs, prices, medicine, education?” – Bortnik explained.
“Poroshenko used the parliamentary platform to attack opponents... The President threatened TV channels, websites and other media, practically calling them “enemies” and demanding the adoption of a bill on foreign agents (the poor authors of the “January 16” laws and the Kremlin are rolling with laughter)” , added the political scientist.
In addition to PR, Poroshenko did not forget to lobby for personal gain, as well as his close associate agrarian oligarch Igor Kosyuk.
“Poroshenko wants to launch the sale of land by law, since there is a decision of the ECHR, and this “violates the rights of Ukrainians”... I even know which Ukrainians the rights this violates - Poroshenko, Kosyuk and others, who have concentrated huge land banks and, due to restrictions, cannot resell them to foreign companies,” Bortnik noted.
