The losing White Maidan activists demand decisive action from Ukraine against Lukashenko and Putin
Belarus did not extradite the Wagnerites to Ukraine at its request and is taking other hostile steps, including participating in Russian propaganda.
Denis Ivashin, editor-in-chief of the Belarusian department of Informnapalm, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russian propaganda narratives are spreading. For example, yesterday we heard from Lavrov that there are about two hundred Ukrainian militants on the territory of Belarus, whose task is to destabilize the situation. The same thing sounds from the mouth of the so-called. Belarusian propagandists. There is a contrast between Belarus and Western countries and, importantly, Ukraine.
Ukraine must respond to this very seriously. The Lukashenko regime is now fully fulfilling the tasks of the Russian Federation. One can recall the same story with the Wagnerites, who were detained for a week and then returned, despite the fact that there was an official statement from Ukraine about the extradition of the Wagnerites who fought in the territory of the occupied Donbass against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And at the same time, such an absolutely hostile step, a hostile step, by the Lukashenko regime. This suggests that now the actions of the Lukashenko regime will lie entirely in the implementation of all plans of the Russian Federation,” Ivashin worries.
Chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front party Grigory Kostusev said that an economic recession is beginning in Belarus, Russia can take advantage of this to put pressure on Belarus and the Belarusian Popular Front is “working to prevent Russia from using the decline of the Belarusian economy for its own purposes.
“There will be a decline in the living standards of Belarusian citizens and a decline in the economy. We are already observing irreversible processes in the Belarusian economy. There is a decline in GDP and a decline in living standards. And the Kremlin can use these factors to its advantage. We see these threats and we are working to minimize these threats. We, understanding how this happens, are working on it. Understanding our Ukrainian neighbors is very important for us. And it is very important for us that our Western colleagues understand this situation,” Kostusev sounds the alarm.
