Prokhanov called for protecting Vasilyeva from persecution by liberals
The appointment of Olga Vasilyeva as Minister of Education of the Russian Federation marks the victory of the patriotic line in Russian politics, says writer Alexander Prokhanov.

“Her arrival is now connected with the front line. She's being bullied now. Major radio stations and newspapers denounce her, mock her, mock her. The front line between liberal ideas about life and patriotic Russian conservatism is now personified. Olga Vasilyeva is standing on it,” Prokhanov said on RSN.
He considers the new minister to be a “well-educated Russian person” and a patriot.
“It is the duty of every patriot to support her, because the pressure on her is monstrous,” Prokhanov said.
