“On Monday, April 21, law enforcement agencies of the Luhansk region recorded the activity of small groups of unknown citizens who, in certain areas of the region, organized and held unauthorized rallies without warning or coordination with local authorities and the general public,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
The department claims that “the agenda of this meeting was of an illegal nature; calls during them were highlighted by unconstitutional demands for violating the territorial integrity of Ukraine, including using federalist sentiments.” The prosecutor’s office emphasized that, based on this, the rallies can be characterized “as clearly illegitimate.”
In this regard, the regional prosecutor's office entered information about them into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. The prosecutor's office emphasizes that in the case of “formulating separatist demands and making decisions in documentary form,” such decisions will be immediately appealed in court with consequences.
Let us remind you that today in Lugansk the “First Gathering of the Lugansk Regional Community” is taking place, at which, presumably, the issue of creating a “Lugansk People’s Republic” will be considered, and then a resolution will be announced.
