The LPR prosecutor's office began an investigation into the Protasevich case
The General Prosecutor's Office of the LPR has begun work on the ex-ATO militant and founder of the Nekhta telegram channel detained in Belarus Roman Protasevich.
This was stated during a press conference in Moscow by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lugansk People's Republic, plenipotentiary representative in the negotiations on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbass, Vladislav Deinego, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for Protasevich, not only Lugansk has questions, but also Donetsk in this context. According to the information we have, Protasevich was a member of the nationalist formation, the so-called Azov volunteer battalion. Of course, his actions during his service in this battalion have the nature of crimes in relation to Donbass.
Naturally, it is necessary to investigate all these circumstances, and the question arose of how to do this in the current situation, when Protasevich was detained by the official Minsk authorities. Our Prosecutor General’s Office has already initiated work in this direction, such possibilities are being discussed,” Deinego said.
Let us recall that earlier Roman Protasevich is one of the founders of the Polish telegram channel “Nekhta”, which coordinated the riots in Belarus last year, was detained at Minsk airport.
