Prosecutors are asking the court to sentence Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov to 12 years in prison in the Krayan plant case, and his accomplices to 7-11 years, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The head of the Anti-Corruption Center NGO Vitaly Shabunin, whose activists were present at the trial, writes about this on Twitter.

In addition, according to Shabunin, SAPO prosecutors asked the court to confiscate UAH 92 million to the income of the Odessa City Council and return the buildings of the Krayan plant to the owner.

For Trukhanov's deputy Pavel Vugelman, prosecutors are asking for 10 years in prison.

“The prosecutors are also asking to ban them from holding positions in government bodies and to confiscate property,” the activist clarifies.

Also, according to his information, the prosecution asked for 10 years each to the director of the municipal property department of the Odessa City Council Alexei Spektra, his deputy Vladimir Radionov and the director of Development Elite LLC (the company that sold Krayan to the City Council) Petra Zagordienko.

For Krayan appraiser Galina Bogdanova, SAP prosecutors are asking for 7 years in prison with confiscation of property and a ban on holding certain positions.

According to the CPC, SAP prosecutors are asking Igor Kravchenko, who purchased the buildings of the Krayan plant for UAH 4,3 million, to receive 11 years in prison.

Prosecutors also asked the court to take everyone into custody immediately after the verdict, writes Shabunin.
