Samopomich, which flew past the Rada, entered the era of raw food diet
The leader of the Ukrainian Samopomich party has become the former vice-chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oksana Syroid, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This decision was made by the congress of the Samopomich Association party held in Kyiv.
“I devoted 7 years to the leadership of the Samopomich Association. These were the best and most difficult years of my life,” wrote Lviv Mayor Andrey Sadovoy on his Facebook page.
He noted that the election of Syroid as party leader is “the best thing that we can all wish for today.”
In the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada on July 21, the Samopomich party did not overcome the 5% barrier, gaining less than 1% of the votes.
On election day, after the exit poll results were announced, Sadovyi said: “You cannot be both mayor and party leader - it’s very difficult. I saw this in 5 years. Therefore, my job is that I am the mayor of Lvov, and I think that there is such a normal democratic principle: if you did not lead the party to victory, then you must resign, and the party must elect a new leader.”
